Check allergens. Timers do not confirm food is safely cooked.

Sousbook helps organize recipes and follow cooking steps. It does not verify recipe accuracy, allergens or food safety, and does not provide individualized medical advice.

Allergies and substitutions

Check every ingredient, current product label and substitution for your dietary needs. Consider allergen cross-contact from shared surfaces, utensils, appliances and food handling. A recipe name, dietary description or missing allergen warning does not certify that a meal is safe. Ask the manufacturer or a qualified healthcare professional when needed.

Check imports and conversions

Web imports, photo recognition, parsing and automated processing can omit or misread ingredients, quantities, units, temperatures or directions. Compare the saved recipe with the original. Serving adjustments and unit conversions do not validate the recipe or establish safe cooking times.

Cook and store food safely

Cooking time, appearance and a finished timer are not reliable proof that food is safely cooked. Use a food thermometer and follow current official guidance for internal temperatures and required resting times. Follow safe cleaning, separation, thawing, cooling, refrigeration and reheating practices. Take particular care when preparing food for people at increased risk of foodborne illness.

Stay attentive

Device settings, interruptions or software failures can affect timers and notifications. Stay attentive to cooking and use an independent timer when appropriate. App support is not an emergency service.

These reminders are practical guidance. They do not guarantee a safe outcome or remove any rights or remedies you have under applicable law.
