There is a lot to be thankful for this week. An app is live, a new phone arrives tomorrow, the kids have plenty going on, and we have a Sunday dinner to look forward to that has been 75 days in the making.

Lampleaf Is on the App Store

Lampleaf Illustrated Bible is now live on the App Store.

It feels good to be able to say that. There are so many little steps between working on an app and having it available for people to download. Getting to this point is something I want to take a moment to enjoy.

There will be more work to do, but today I am happy to have another app out in the world.

A New Phone and Texting With Will

My new iPhone Duo arrives tomorrow, and I am excited to get my hands on it. I spend so much time working on apps that getting a new phone is both fun on its own and a chance to see my work on a different device.

I also set up texting with Will, my dot in Codex. Having a way to text Will is a fun addition to how I use AI throughout the day. I am curious to see how much it becomes part of my routine.

A New Role at Church

Starting this Sunday, I am now a group leader for the greeters at church, serving at noon every other Sunday.

I have enjoyed getting more involved at church, and I am looking forward to taking on this responsibility. Helping people feel welcome is a simple thing that can make a difference, especially when someone is walking in for the first time.

Report Cards, a First Field Trip, Soccer, and Cheer

The kids get their report cards soon, so we have that coming up too.

Grayson had his first field trip yesterday. It is one of those firsts that makes you stop and realize how quickly the kids are growing.

Courtney has been doing well in soccer and getting better every week. I love watching that progress. Seeing her keep at it and improve has been one of the things I look forward to each week.

Mackenzie is in cheer and determined to get all A’s so she can go shopping. She has a goal and a reward in mind, and she is serious about it. I am rooting for her.

And Sean is growing and living his best life. Sometimes that is the whole update, and it is a pretty good one.

Celebrating My Wife’s Hard Work

My wife has been doing great with her health challenge, and I am proud of her.

She has gone 75 days without eating at restaurants or getting fast food. That takes a lot of commitment, especially with everything else happening in family life.

This Sunday, she is ready to go out to a restaurant again. After that long, dinner out feels like something worth celebrating. I am looking forward to enjoying a meal together and celebrating the effort she has put in.

Between Lampleaf going live, the kids growing and working toward their goals, serving at church, and seeing my wife stick with her challenge, there is a lot of good happening right now. I am grateful for all of it.
